You can validate a service plan for both the Service Builder and Service Designer by clicking the Validate toolbar button.
On a successful validation the following dialog will become visible:
If there has been a validation failure the following dialog will become visible:
If its running in Service Builder mode the area where the validation has failed will be highlighted, or if its in Service Designer the node will had a red box with the error message and the first failure will be in focus.
