Host

Allows the configuration of a conference host.

Fields and Functionality

• HostPin: PIN required to be entered by the host. (Values between 4 and 8 digits starting from 1000). Any delegates that have joined the conference before the host arrives will hear Music On Hold.

• Waiting For Host Audio: The audio that is played to each delegate prior to Music On Hold when the host has not yet joined the conference.

• Roll Call Announcement Audio: This audio is played prior to the list of current delegate names when a conference host requests a roll call. This option is only relevant if the 'Record Name' option is in use. The number of delegates is played to all callers if the host requests a roll call when the 'Record Name' option is off. The Host uses DTMF 1 during a conference to invoke roll call.

• Passive Conference: Allows delegates to listen in to a conference - only the caller or callers identifying themselves as hosts can contribute to the conference.

You can also use Text To Speech as an alternative to using audio uploaded via the Audio Manager.

Press the button to switch the audio property into text to speech mode. You can then enter the text string and select a preferred voice. Press the button to listen to the synthesized audio.
