Print/Export

To print or export the service designer canvas, select [Print/Export] from the [Designer] drop down menu.

The print dialog will be displayed showing a print preview of the Service Designer canvas. The print preview will initially be scaled to fit the whole Service Designer canvas on a single page with any empty space being cropped.

You can select the desired paper size and print quality (PPI - pixels per inch) and also the page orientation using the drop down options.

When the Service Designer canvas is too large to fit on a single page based on the selected paper, orientation and scale value, the whole canvas will be split into multiple pages.

You can press the [Auto Fit] button to automatically adjust the scale to fit the whole Service Designer canvas on to a single page.

The scale value can be manually adjusted by changing the value in the scale text box. Changing the scale allows you to adjust the overall size of the Service Designer canvas.

To apply your selected changes, press the [Refresh] button to generate a new print preview. The example below shows the scale has been adjusted to 2.14 to force the image size to be increased to fill the page keeping the aspect ratio intact.

For a large Service Designer canvas it may be necessary to choose a larger paper size then adjust the scale to suit as shown in the example below.

Once you have the desired print preview displayed, press the [ Print ] button to open your browser print dialog where you can adjust your printer settings if required before printing. You can also download the print preview as a PDF file (Portable Document Format) by pressing the [Export PDF] button. Press the [Close] button to return to the Service Designer.
