Inbound Fax

Service Numbers can be configured to receive fax transmissions in order to send them on to email address(es) (or via an API method) as a TIFF or PDF attachment.

• Received faxes can be delivered via email (up to 10 email addresses).

• Custom Email Settings can be set for each Fax node. (Subject, Body, From etc.)

• Fax file format can be delivered as TIFF or PDF.

Faxes are emailed from the platform as soon as the call is complete - however, delays are possible due to slow internet connections or other factors outside the platform's control. When a fax machine (or other fax-enabled hardware) calls a Fax number on the platform, it will wait 8 seconds for the calling fax to initiate the fax transmission. If no fax tones are forthcoming, the platform will then try to initiate the transmission instead.
