Once you have built the initial configuration of a number with the required Service, you can add additional Service Plans to the Service Number using the Multi Plan Switcher.
This feature allows you to have up to 99 pre-built plans which can be activated immediately either via the portal or via an . This is a useful feature if the service number is to require several pre-defined calling plans, for example a small business who’s working hours are flexible and want to be able to move between receiving calls to delivery to voicemail without having to fully reconfigure the service number on the portal each time.
The Multi Plan Switcher is also useful for building disaster recovery plans.
Once the initial configuration of the service number has been created the 'Manage->Assigned Services' menu option will appear in the toolbar Service Manager:
Pressing the 'plans' button shows the Services assigned to the number: Plan 0 is the default plan and if no other plans are required then this can be left as it is.
IN BOTH CASES IF YOU SELECT THE OPTION "ASSIGN AS ACTIVE SERVICE PLAN" THIS WILL MAKE THE SERVICE YOU ARE ADDING LIVE AND ALL CALLS WILL BE DIRECTED TO THIS.
If you don’t want to activate the plan at that time then you can simply exit the screen and the plan will be available for use when required.
Using the Multi Plan Button you can see the active plan and change between plans by selecting the drop down – the active plan will be indicated by the word 'Yes' in the Active column: This screen can also been seen by searching for the number, right clicking and choosing Manage Assigned Services.
If additional plans are required click use or to create the desired service. You can then either: Click Save Enter a New Description and Select "Save as a new service and assign to 0XXXXXXX" if this is the number you wish to save against or
a) Save the Service with a New Name and Description b) Return to the Screen search for the Number you wish to add the Service to c) Left click the 'Menu' icon for the number and choose "Assign Service Plan" d) Search for the Service you have created and click OK
