Variables Manager is only available through the Service Designer interface and can be accessed by clicking on the Manage-> Variables toolbar menu option where you can create new custom service variables. All variables value persist for the duration of the call or can be defined as global to persist the value for all calls to the service. They can be used multiple times within a Service call flow and every variable consist of a name and a default value. As an example, Creating the Variable of @LeedsBranch and using this as the destination for multiple points in the call flow, it allows the physical destination number (01131111222) to be changed only once within the Variable Manager, but change the destination of the calls flow wherever @LeedsBranch has been used as the destination.
Default Value: A fixed value of a variable
Usage: A number that shows the number of times a variable is being used withing the service plan
Scope: The Variable scope can be "Call" or "Global"
The value of a variable is only persisted for the duration of the call. Changes to the value of the variable during the call flow are only available to the call making the change.
The value of the variable can be accessed by all calls to the service plan. When a call to a service plan makes a change to a variable value all new or existing calls to the same service plan would use the updated value when accessing the variable.
