The Bulk Configuration Tool allows a user to provision services on multiple service numbers in a single step.
This feature can be found on the Advanced Services Portal by navigating to Home -> Service Manager -> Manage -> Bulk Configuration .
There are two variations of the Bulk Configuration tool to select:
Both options will take you into the New Bulk Configuration request page:
New Destination Request
Create ONE service plan for all service numbers: One service plan with a single destination is created and assigned to multiple service numbers.
Create INDIVIDUAL service plans for each service number: Each service number will be assigned its own unique service plan, all of which will carry the same single destination.
The number list can be pasted in from various sources, such as a CSV file or Excel.
New One 2 One Request
Service numbers will be assigned their own unique service plan, each of which will carry its own destination number which are specified as part of the Bulk Configuration process.
To differentiate between a destination number and a Phone Book ID, precede the Phone Book ID with the ‘#’ character. Phone Book IDs can be viewed via Home -> Service Manager -> Manage -> Phone Book.
The number list can be pasted in from various sources, such as a CSV file or Excel.
For both request variations (New Destination or New One 2 One), you can elect to activate (i.e. make ‘live’) the service plan(s) you’ve created on the service numbers immediately, or you can elect not to activate the plan(s), in which case the service plan(s) will be assigned to the service number but will not be active, meaning any existing service plans already assigned to the service numbers will remain active.
You can prepare and import the number list of One 2 One (service numbers and destination numbers) from an Excel CSV file:
Prepare the Excel File
Change the Column A and Column B's Format cell to Text.
Enter service numbers in Column A.
Enter corresponding destination numbers in Column B.
Save as CSV Format
Save the file in CSV format using Excel.
Copy Data
Open the saved CSV file using Notepad.
Copy the content and paste it into the numbers text area.
Numbers submitted in a request will be validated before processing, with error messages indicating any issues found during the process.
Once the request is submitted, you will be taken back to the Bulk Configuration page and your request will be listed (latest first), with the Status column showing either New, In Progress, or Completed. Refresh this page periodically to monitor progress.
Fields required for a New Destination Request are: Service Name, Description, Destination number (or Entry), Ring Duration and a list of service numbers – 2000 service numbers maximum per request.
Fields required for a New One 2 One Request are: Service Name, Description, Ring Duration and a list of service numbers and destination numbers (or IDs) – each entry separated by a single comma. You can specify a maximum of 2000 service number/destination number pairs per request.
