When a user loses access to their 2FA mobile device or their account is removed from the Authenticator app, you can revoke their 2FA by following the steps below. Note that revoking 2FA should be done cautiously, as it reduces the security of the user's account.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to the Advanced Services Portal:
Ensure you have administrative privileges.
Locate the section for managing users by selecting the menu "Home" -> "Accounts" -> "Users".
Find the specific user whose 2FA you need to revoke.
Use the icon go to the users account to edit the user.
Revoke 2FA
Click the button "Revoke 2FA" to revoke the user 2FA.
Confirm your action and click "Yes". System message will be prompted that the Revoke 2FA action is done.
Important Reminder
Revoking 2FA should only be a temporary measure. Ensure the user re-enables it as soon as possible to minimize security risks. By following these steps, you can successfully revoke 2FA for a user while ensuring that their account remains secure during the process.
Alternatively, you can revoke 2FA for a user via the by clicking on the icon and selecting "Edit User" to go to the users account to revoke user 2FA.
