The Mid Call node allows either the Calling Party ('A Party') or Called Party ('B Party') to break out of their call mid-conversation using a predefined DTMF code. Mid Call is an 'entry point' node in a similar way to the Start or Post Call node – i.e. it is not preceded by a connection from another node. The Mid Call node will need to exist in the same Service Plan as the original call and only one Mid Call node can exist in a single Service Plan. Mid Call is invoked by the controlling party (as defined in the node) entering a two-digit DTMF code. The relevant party will pass through the sequence of nodes that follow the Mid Call node whilst the opposite party hears ringing or music-on-hold until the last node in the sequence is reached, where the two parties will then resume their conversation.
