Record Call

Configures the Call Recording Settings.

Fields and Functionality

  • Record: Controls the percentage of calls that should be recorded - e.g to record every other call, set this to 50% - or select 'All Calls' to record 100% of calls. If the setting is 'On Demand', calls will only be recorded if the called party presses the 7 key on their telephone keypad. Pressing 7 again will switch off call recording for that call. Subsequent use of the 7 key toggles the state of the call recording

  • Audio File Format: Call Recordings can be provided in MP3, WMA or WAV format

  • Muting Enabled: Toggle muting in a recording. By default (subject to other settings described above), recording is 'unmuted'. The called party can key 00 at any time during the recording to invoke muting, and any key to un-mute. An audible tone can be heard when muting is invoked. The resultant call recording will contain periods of silence when muting is invoked; this is different to 'On Demand' where the recording has sections of the call removed completely

  • Email Address: Call recordings can be delivered to as many as 10 separate email addresses

For details of how long Call Recording files are stored for, please refer to the Data Retention Policy.
